The Volt Alpiniste Jacket provides exceptional comfort and warmth when climbing, belaying and hiking in cooler conditions. Utilizing outstandingly warm yet lightweight, durable POLARTEC® Thermal Pro® Honeycomb which is zoned with POLARTEC® 100 Series to ensure unrestricted freedom of movement and comfort. Technical tailoring in the arms and side panels eliminates hem lift; essential for stretching between holds on the wall or when reaching with trekking poles. A fully adjustable hood with a wired peak allows the Volt Alpiniste to be layered in cold weather clothing systems and makes this an ideal piece for use the mountains. Montane Volt Alpiniste Outdoor Jacket CONSTRUCTION The jacket is made from POLARTEC® Thermal Pro® Honeycomb which traps heat inside the fibres to keep the wear warm without feeling weighed down thanks to its outstanding warmth to weight ratio. POLARTEC® 100 is also used in key areas like the sides and elbow panels to offer much-needed temperature regulation and comfort. HOOD AND POCKET CONFIGURATION The hood on the Volt Alpiniste is fully adjustable with a wired peak to get a comfortable and convenient fit depending on your requirements in different weather conditions. Two map-sized pockets lined with mesh can be found on the chest of the jacket for storage and extra ventilation. There are also two deep hand-warmer pockets lined with a fine micro fleece mesh and positioned well clear of a backpack harness for convenience and storage. CENTRE FRONT ZIP AND HEM CONSTRUCTION A full length, reversed and baffled two way YKK reverse coil zip down the center on the jacket works as a great way to enhance coverage or ventilation. Brushed fine microfleece is used on the inner collar next to the mouth and chin for a comfortable feel against the skin. The hem of the jacket is easily adjusted to prevent cold air entry and heat loss.
